$664 left.

I scheduled another $140 payment to my credit card company. I have $664 left. I think I paid off about $700 this month which is extraordinary. I don't have any money in savings which makes me nervous. I haven't contributed much to retirement this month.

I made $28.50 at my second job and $6.00 from Pinecone Research. If you have extra time and want to make a few dollars here and there, I would recommend Pinecone. You get $3 for each survey and they don't send you a bunch of junk e-mail. I'm not going to make a living off of it, but I truly believe saving small amounts and being frugal on a regular basis is a necessity.

I went shopping this weekend and purchased a few Christmas plates and two salad plates for myself from Crate and Barrel. My plan is to collect the dishes I want a few at a time since they cost $5 each. I spent $10 on myself and $50 on presents.

Nice to see you're working on that debt, but I believe in the savings cushion. Don't leave yourself in the lurch, otherwise you'll likely be forced to rack up that debt again.

Great plan on collecting your dishes slowly. I need (want?) new ones too, but am loathe to shell out the money for two whole sets.

And, well done on the huge debt payments, you will truly be there before you know it.

Congratulations on the progress!

If you are nervous about the savings I would suggest plunking down half on the debt and the other half in the savings account.

Congrats, you're almost there!

I also like Pinecone a lot and would recommend them to anyone who likes a few extra bucks a month.

Love the dishes--now you've gotten me in holiday-mode!
