Hitting the grocery store!

Ok. So I went a little crazy..... The first thing I did with money from my work is grocery shopping. While I was unemployed for 4 weeks, I spent very little on food. I used my cupboard as a source of inspiration. Tomato sauce, canned beans, rice, curries. These were my staples and I made some very creative meals with them. Well after 4 weeks I was low on my staples so

I went on several shopping sprees. I stocked on more dried beans, pasta, spices, baking supplies, frozen vegetables, meats for the freezer, and a variety of broths. I recommend if you put yourself on a spending freeze and you just have to shop. Go to the grocery store and stock on staples (assuming you have the space)!

I am also saving $200 a paycheck. Remember this job is only supposed to last until April 7th. I should have a $1000 by then. Hopefully that will hold me over until I find another position.

What staples do you have to have?

Fruit (bananas especially), coffee cream!, coffee discs, chicken breasts (boneless or bone in), frozen berries and brown rice.

I also need a certain amount of flour and both kinds of sugar or I'll go crazy wanting to make all sorts of things and not have enough.
